“Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few,” are Churchill’s words that set the 113 days of the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940 apart from all others, as the greatest aerial battle in history. In this Double Feature evening, join historian Ted Barris as he discusses his new book "Battle of Britain: Canadian Airmen in Their Finest Hour". This talk will be followed by a screening of Reach for the Sky: The remarkable story of RAF Group Captain Douglas Bader, who lost both legs in a pre-WWII plane crash but  was still able to command a squadron of fighter pilots during the Battle of Britain. ⏰ Dates and Times 🗓️ November 8, 2024 🎤 Lecture 5:00PM 🥪 Boxed Lunch served 6:15PM 🎞️ Movie 7:15PM Tickets  🎟️ General Admission: FREE 🎫 Optional boxed lunch: $17 Festival seating
