We encourage you and your family to join City Council and the Camrose Transit Advisory Committee in going car-free from May 26th - June 1st! Alternative means of transportation can include, but are not limited to, walking, cycling, using scooters, riding the Camrose Community bus, using a taxi service or calling on a friend for a ride if needed. (The challenge will allow exemptions for transportation that is part of an individual’s job.) The exercise is to raise awareness of both the opportunities and challenges faced by Camrose residents who choose or are forced to use alternative means of transportation in Camrose. Alternative means of transit can be beneficial to both personal health and the environment. They can also present big challenges for residents who do not have access to a personal vehicle.
